Viridiflora Tulips
We love the Viridiflora (Latin for ‘green flower’) tulip group for their delicately feathered green on softly colored petals producing an ethereal beauty all of their own. But more importantly, that green provides some chlorophyll to the blooms themselves, producing incredibly long lasting blooms (3-4 weeks!) in the garden, and double the vase life of most cut tulips. A late-flowering tulip, these long-lasting beauties enhance bedding designs as well as cut flower arrangements

Standing out, award-winning ‘Artist’ is truly an unusual tulip with its amazing golden-orange flowers and soft green feathering. Sturdy and reliable, its overall flower shape is cupped to about 3” across. Blooming in late spring, this spectacular member of the Viridiflora (Latin for green flower) group enjoys long lasting blooms (3 weeks!) and will look ravishing in a vase. 12”

Parrot Tulips
Aptly named for their feather-like, ruffled petals, these large and exotically frilled blooms are some of the most flamboyant varieties available, with each and every bloom being unique. Developed from genetic mutations, Parrot blooms will open playfully in the sunlight and will often change colors as the flower matures. They are late season blooms with a few types being among the very last to flower.

Ranked as one of the top rewarded tulips for its excellence and easy culture, this award-winner is one of the most fabulous tulips with its over-sized apricot-pink petals flushed with green and yellow stripes, and wavy-edged and fringed like feathers. As its large flower is exposed to the sun over time, it opens so wide that it almost flattens out, revealing its brilliant colours. Blooming in late spring, this spectacular, slightly fragrant tulip belongs to the Parrot group. Late season. 16-24. 22-24″
