Gardenlore is part passion project, part education initiative, borne out of a desire to nurture our patch of Eden as best we can. Joan is the driving force behind Gardenlore, and when she isn’t nurturing a love of reading as a children’s librarian, she is out in the garden, composting, weeding, and cultivating.
Joan holds certifications as both a Master Gardener and in Permaculture Design. She has made several presentations at the Comox Valley Horticultural Society on permaculture in the garden, designing effectively, and gardening as meditation.
